Web 2.0 Winners and Losers
September 27th, 2006

Winners:
1. Flickr
2. Odeo
3. Writely
4. del.icio.us
5. NetVibes

Losers:
1. MySpace
2. Squidoo
3. Browzar
4. Fo.rtuito.us
5. Friendster

+ Wired

I definitely agree that Flickr is the number one winner, and I woud probably add Blogger, Wordpress, Digg, YouTube, and the Google bunch (Analytics, Adsense, GMail, Google Earth, etc).
The losers are definitely losers, but where’s Orkut on the list?

So, what do you think of the list?

Technorati turns 3
July 27th, 2006

technorati
A few days ago, Technorati, the internet’s leading blog search engine, turned three and rolled out some major updates as celebration.
The most radical change is a new design - much fresher and easier to use than the clunky old one. They’ve also improved the ranking and authority systems - they should now be more accurate and up-to-date. For those who don’t want to search, there’s a new “Discovery” section that helps you to stumble upon new stuff by category. The “popular” section has also seen an update, with the Technorati Top 100, Most Favorited Blogs, Videos, Books, News and Movies all appearing on one page. What’s more, your Technorati homepage is now personalized, letting you see your latest blog stats and interest areas represented in one place.
Cool, eh?
