toot is the sound you make to draw attention to yourself. toot is a fruit that consists of little particles that make up a whole. toots belongs to a tree. toots is sweet. toot toot comes in different colours. No, really, what is this site?
Remember Ahmad’s post two months ago “toot: newborn to toddler!”
By now you might have an idea on what we were talking about, last week we launched our photo and video sharing website www.ikbis.com and just two days ago we launched the toot advertising network
The toot advertising network, which is still in beta, currently allows selected blogs on toot to place ads on their blogs and earn money. We believe it’s time for us to pay back for the brilliant reading time bloggers have given us for the past 11 months!
The toot advertising network is the first of it’s kind in the Arab world. We believe that connecting bloggers, marketers and audience is great for everyone! The network’s uniqueness lies in the fact that it allows advertisers to reach, we believe, the best blogs of Arabia, exposing their products and services to a great audience.

I think it’s a great program, but, I have a remark concerning the first campaign:
The skyscraper format will simply not “fly” with most of the itoot bloggers. most of us have 2 column blogs and the information on the right is just too important for us to push down.
I registered to the program but because of the format, i’ll simply forgo the Al-arabiya campaign..

Well Mustapha we realize that. However, we can’t always obligate the advertiser to give us the banner sizes we want. I hope we’ll offer various banners in future campaigns.

I was thinking maybe there was a technical solution where we can float the entire thing to the right of the wrapper like you’ve done on your main page.
Could the technical guy advise if its feasible on blogspot?
Thanks again

Mustapha,
I agree with you on the vertical ad orientation. It is not the greatest format. But have a loot at my site http://www.360east.com. It’s not too bad. And I do hope we’ll have you on this or a future campaign.
Having said that, this is our first campaign and we’re happy that it’s for a great client like Air Arabia who understand the power of the net (they sell a lot of tickets online).
After this test, we’ll be in a better position to advise companies on what the best blog friendly ad formats are. We also want to give bloggers the choice between different format for every campaign.
We’re all still learning here :)
